Online course faq's1. Do I have to register to view an online educational activity?
Yes, everyone must register in order to view an online educational activity. 2. Can I access an online educational activity if I am a nurse and the activity only provides ACCME/AMA PRA Category 1 credits?
Yes, any medical/healthcare professional who wishes to access an online educational activity can do so. You must first complete the registration form. You will then be able to review the activity material and complete the post-test and evaluation form. Upon successful completion of the test and evaluation, a certificate will be issued to you. If you are a physician in the United States, Mexico, or Canada, you will receive a certificate with the eligible ACCME/AMA PRA Category 1 credits. All other medical/healthcare professionals will receive a certificate of completion.
3. How can I tell what type of continuing education credits/contact hours are being offered for an online educational activity? Click on the title of an activity and choose CE credits from the left hand navigation menu. The type and number of continuing education credits, contact hours and/or continuing education units will be listed for the online activity you have selected.
4. Why can’t I earn continuing education credits/contact hours for archived educational activities? When a self-study activity is developed, an expiration date is determined, as dictated by ACCME, ANCC and ACPE. This is the date when we reasonably expect that some or all of the content may be outdated. Once the expiration date has been reached, an online activity is moved from Current Courses to Archived Courses. You still have the opportunity to review the activity material but it will no longer provide continuing education credits/contact hours.5. Who should I contact if I have a problem with an online educational activity? If you experience any problem with an online activity, you should email registrar@biosymposia.org. Include your name, email address, phone number and a description of the problem you are experiencing. We will contact you as quickly as possible. |
