Signaling Transduction Modulators in Cancer Therapy
december 07-08, 2006
denver, colorado, usa
Signaling transduction pathways are largely implicated in many types of cancer. An understanding of how the components of these pathways interact and function is integral to developing cancer therapies. This one and a half day "Signaling Transduction Modulators in Cancer Therapy" symposium featured experts in the fields of cancer biology and pharmacology. These experts presented their latest research on various topics including 'TRAIL mediated pathways,' 'tyrosine kinase receptors,' and 'animal models and imaging.' The program agenda allowed for networking and scientific discussion between junior scientists and senior faculty. Students and fellows were encouraged to submit a poster abstract on their research. Awards were available for the top three poster abstracts submitted. There was no registraiton fee for this program. Complimentary meals, refreshments and a poster reception were provided.
