Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of this program the participants will be able to:

  • Understand the basic developmental biology of B and T lymphocytes and how these pathways may be altered in lupus autoimmunity;
  • Appreciate the multiple immunologic and genetic features that lead to lupus autoimmunity and tissue pathology;
  • Develop novel therapeutic strategies based on an integrated understanding of the basic mechanisms of disease;
  • Share novel insights with participants from many scientific disciplines.
