Optical coherence tomography in multiple sclerosis recorded december 7, 2007

Webinar

Program Description

Optical coherence tomography (OCT) is a noninvasive, noncontact diagnostic tool used to measure the retinal nerve fiber layer. Decreases in the retinal nerve fiber layer can be detected following optic neuritis, a demyelinating inflammation of the optic nerve. This condition is strongly associated with multiple sclerosis (MS) and frequently is the first manifestation of MS. This webinar will present the principles of employing OCT to quantitate changes in the retinal nerve fiber layer thickness, which can serve as a biomarker for axonal loss in MS patients.

The official language of this symposium is English.

This webinar with Q&A was recorded on Friday, December 7, 2007.

There is no fee to register for Optical Coherence Tomography in Multiple Sclerosis. If you wish to receive continuing education credit, there will be a $15.00 USD fee to process your certificate.
