B Cells In Autoimmunity and Multiple Sclerosis

november 29-30, 2007
santa monica, california, usa

EARLY REGISTRATION FEES ARE NOW EXTENDED!!!

B cells are important as both antibody producing cells and as antigen-presenting cells. Both of those roles appear critical in the etiology -- and future target therapies -- of many autoimmune diseases, especially multiple sclerosis (MS). This meeting will focus on the role of B cells in MS. It will emphasize the roles that B cells play as effectors and regulators in autoimmunity, the pathogenesis of MS, and the importance of antibodies to CNS antigens in the disease process. Sessions will also highlight the importance of lymphocyte trafficking, and the potential use of B cells for gene therapy of autoimmune dieseases and as a target of immunotherapy. An understanding of the pathogenesis of autoimmune diesease like MS is critical for the development of future therapies for this disorder.

These unique and emerging topics will be addressed by internationally recognized experts. Take advantage of the ample opportunities for discussion and networking. This program is designed to facilitate the full engagement by young investigators. The National Multiple Sclerosis Society Junior Investigator Award and other awards will be given to the lead authors of the best papers in the poster session adjudicated by an expert panel.

Please note that space is limited for this event and early registration is encouraged.

The official language of this symposium is English.
