Statement of Educational Need

Fertility preservation is a substantial issue for young women facing premature ovarian failure. In particular, the demand for fertility preservation has been increasing in cancer patients, as the long-term survival rate after aggressive cancer treatment has significantly increased in recent years. Still only a few practitioners in medical communities are aware of the availability of fertility preservation options. Therefore, it is necessary to promote the awareness of fertility preservation in a clinical setting, and to propagate the current knowledge and progress in research.
