At the conclusion of this course the participant was able to:

• Describe current research into the etiology and pathogenesis of multiple sclerosis;
• Cite effective ways of managing multiple sclerosis symptoms;
• Discuss rehabilitation strategies that are effective throughout the course of the disease;
• List new pharmacological and non-pharmacological methods of managing multiple sclerosis;
• Identify treatment options in patients with breakthrough disease;
• Explan the use of MRI in the diagnosis and management of multiple sclerosis.
