Stem Cells and CNS RegenerationProgram DescriptionMay 31-June 1, 2007 Boston, Massachusetts, USA
Recent advances in stem cell research suggest this as a promising therapy for various medical disorders, including neurodegenerative diseases. This 2-day 'Stem Cells and CNS Regeneration' symposium highlighted the state-of-the-art for basic and translational research on endogenous and exogenous stem cells. An international faculty of research leaders presented their most current data on these topics in the context of different neurodegenerative diseases, including but not limited to multiple sclerosis, Huntington's disease, Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. The program agenda allowed for networking and scientific discussion among junior and senior faculty.
