Submit An Abstract

Submit an abstract no later than November 12, 2007

BioSymposia often calls for abstracts to be submitted for our educational activities. Abstracts submitted may be considered for publication in an abstract book distributed at an educational activity, as the basis for a poster presentation at a symposium, or as the basis for an oral presentation at the activity. Abstracts and poster presentations will not be considered part of the accredited educational activity.

Please note we can not accept abstracts that have been previously published or accepted at another conference.

BioSymposia has specific requirements that must be met for all abstracts submitted. These requirements are:

  • Individuals submitting an abstract must be registered for the activity
  • No compensation will be paid for the use of the abstracts
  • Individuals submitting an abstract must disclose any and all funding received for the research or other activity discussed in the abstract at the time of submission. The disclosures will be included in the publication and must be on the poster presentation
  • Accepted abstracts will be published and copyrighted by BioSymposia

In order to submit an abstract, you must first register for the conference. You must read and agree to our Abstract Terms and Conditions (at the bottom of this page). In order to access the Abstract submission template, click the "Continue To Submission Form" button at the bottom of this page (please note: if you have not registered for the conference, you will not be able to see the button to access the abstract template). If you should have any questions about submitting an abstract online, please contact us at registrar@biosymposia.org or call 781-681-2137 (United States).

Structure your abstract to include the following information: abstract title, list of authors, list of author's affiliation(s), research objective, materials/methods, results, conclusions, grant support (if applicable). Your abstract should not be more than one page in length. There is a 250 word limit for each section.  It is not possible to upload graphs or charts with the online submission form.

Independent experts will review abstracts and not all abstracts will be accepted. The review will consider:

    • Originality of concept
    • Importance of research
    • Clarity of presentation
    • Scientific methodology
    • Appropriateness of statistical analysis
    • Appropriateness of conclusions
